Costain has been awarded two new airport contracts for Manchester Airport and London Heathrow. The first is an £18.6 million contract, as principal contractor, to refurbish Manchester Airport's main runway, Runway 1, under an existing Framework agreement. A new scheme will see the A556 between Knutsford and Bowdon in Cheshire, which is used by 51,000 vehicles a day, upgraded to dual carriageway standard.
