Special Liebherr civil engineering machines help extend Bremerhaven container terminal(04/05/2007)
In order to create additional berths for the latest generation of container ships, the container terminal at Bremerhaven is currently being extended from 3,200 to 4,872 metres. This large-scale project will involve 37,000 tonnes of steel sheet piling, 10,000 tonnes of reinforcing steel, 60,000 cubic metres of concrete and ten million cubic metres of sand. Liebherr Launches New Generation Mining Excavator(30/03/2007)
Following the recent launch of the R 9250 comes the new R 9350 which, as a 300 tonnes class machine, supersedes the R 994 B Litronic. This new generation 300-ton excavator is available in either backhoe or face shovel configuration and, equipped with an 18m³ bucket, is capable of filling a 100 tonnes dump truck in around three passes. Liebherr to supply tower cranes for the construction of South America's highest building(30/01/2007)
Liebherr has been awarded an order to supply 13 tower cranes in the size categories between 90 and 200 mt for the building of the Costanera Center. The Costanera Center comprising four office towers is currently being built in the Chilean capital Santiago.
