Design council endorses off the shelf school

The Design Council CABE has endorsed a Sunesis Keynes standardised school, which is one of the first to have been launched to the UK market. Sunesis is a joint initiative between public sector construction procurement company Scape and leading contractor Willmott Dixon. Steel sheets were originally chosen for Hereford market but this was changed to fibre cement because of concerns that reverberation and noise caused by wind, heavy rain and hail would distress the animals.
