Nobles Construction has beaten-off competition from 26 contractors across Europe to build the new All Saints Catholic Primary School in Bootle. The £4.7million project is set to be completed in Spring 2009 and will see the opening of one of the most environmentally compliant and technically advanced education centres in the country.

Facelift recently worked with offshore service company Oceanteam to help them survey a huge ‘A’ frame based on their multi-functional cable installation barge, the 92 metre CLB Explorer.
The barge is used for the laying of power cables on the seabed and also has a large cable burial plough on deck which is overboarded to the seabed to plough the cables to required depth for protection. The ‘A’ frame serves as the launch and recovery device for the plough.

Seymour Civil Engineering Ltd has taken delivery of two Volvo EW180C rubber ducks for its plant fleet. Although the Hartlepool based civil engineering company currently runs some Volvo B series crawler machines, the two nineteen tonne EW180C are the first Volvo wheeled excavators purchased for the fleet.
