JCB is launching three new mini excavators designed to further enhance JCB’s range of compact models for small contractors, plant hirers, landscapers and utility companies. The three machines include two versions of the new 8055 and the 8020.
Based on JCB’s 8045 platform, the 8055 will be available as either reduced tailswing or zero tailswing and will compete in the 5-6 tonne sector. The machines will replace the existing 8052 in the JCB range and will go into full production during 2008.

JCB has extended its range of compact wheeled loading shovels with the launch of the JCB 403 and JCB 409. The new models give the operator increased choice when working in applications such as local authority and civil engineering contracts, commercial developments, agriculture and landscaping. Both models are ideal for use in hire and rental fleets.

JCB has launches the HTD5 high-tip walk behind tracked Dumpster. The HTD5 has a 500Kg payload, 0.3cu m skip and tip height of 1450mm. It has been designed to target the UK hire market but offers considerable potential for owner operators in the construction, refurbishment and landscaping sectors.

Delivering increased output to power high capacity mowing and turf renovation equipment, two new John Deere 5720 tractors will be thundering up the hallowed turf at Newmarket racing’s ‘headquarters’, this year.
Installed on the Rowley Mile and July courses as part of an official supplier agreement with Newmarket’s owners, Jockey Club Racecourses, the tractors are spearheading a programme to make best use of the grounds men’s time while producing an improved finish to the turf.

JCB has added three new machines ranging from 29 tonnes to 52 tonnes to its JS tracked excavator range. The 29-tonne JS290, 36-tonne JS360 and 52-tonne JS520 will all be shown in Las Vegas at Conexpo 2008.
The JS290 will bridge the gap between the JS260 and JS330 in the existing line-up and the JS360 will fill the opening between the JS330 and the JS460. The JS520 will be shown at Conexpo as a concept machine. It would become the largest machine JCB manufactures.

Initial sales of the JCB Safety Footwear range have exceeded SSP’s target expectations and in response the licensee, who trade as JCB Workwear, has ramped up its design, sales and marketing teams.
