Tough durable Chopper Pumps made by Landia have solved a serious wastewater problem at a grass pelletting plant. The chloride-rich, high temperature grass residue had caused traditional cast-iron pumps to clog and then rapidly corrode. Landia replaced the failing pumps with end-suction chopper pumps, producing the entire pump housing, impeller and knife system in acid-proof stainless steel.
