Kubota Anti-Theft security system prevents theft of two mini excavators

Kubota's key-based 'ANTI-THEFT' security system helped prevent the theft of two of Premier Plant Hire's mini excavators. Thieves failed to start the engine of a 1.5 tonne KX36-3 machine left overnight on a customer's construction site in Coventry, despite drilling into the ignition lock. They got away with a Terex HD1000 dumper fitted with a tracker system which was recovered by police from a travellers' site in Leamington Spa. Forth Plant Hire was set up in 1994 with just one machine and now has 20 pieces of assorted plant, which are changed every three years. It also hires out small plant such as cement mixers, compaction plates, rotavators and much more.
