New telehandler range from Kramer-Werke
(10/01/2007)
Kramer-Werke GmbH has introduced the first models of a new telehandler range. These brand-new machines are due for introduction to the market after well over a year of intensive research and development.
In addition to four-wheel steered wheel loaders, Kramer will also include telehandlers in their portfolio with production plans for a range of seven models with pallet heights between 6 and 17 metres.
The first two Kramer telehandlers (6 and 7 m) were introduced to the public on the occasion of the company's 80 years anniversary in Überlingen, 16 to 18 September 2005.
The telehandlers will be sold to the construction industry via Kramer's existing sales network in Europe.
Kramer's partner for sales in agriculture will be Claas KgaA in Harsewinkel/Germany, which will sell the telehandlers painted in green and white and which is involved in the company by means of a minority interest.
This cooperation will give both parties enormous advantages. Over the next few years Kramer expects turnover to increase by 100 %, of which over 40 % will be assigned to the telehandlers. “The production facilities we have now will no longer be sufficient for production of the entire telehandler range. We plan to build new facilities in the Überlingen area on a medium-term basis,” says Martin Buyle, managing director at Kramer.
“With the extensive experience we have in 4 wheel steering technology and the know-how in telescopic wheel loaders, the telehandlers are a logical addition to our existing portfolio”, Karl Friedrich Hauri, the managing director of Kramer-Werke GmbH, explains.
The Claas managing director for sales and services, Lothar Kriszun, has a very positive outlook on the future: “Kramer's wheel loaders have long since assumed technological leadership. In the meantime we have broad experience with telehandlers and know what counts, especially in agriculture. In addition to decisive technical advantages, reliability is a further asset, and this is where Kramer's know-how will benefit our customers and ourselves.”
