Genie Industries introduces three new telehandler models
(20/04/2007)
Genie Industries, the TEREX Aerial Work Platforms Division, has launched three new telehandler models: the GTH-4013, and the rotating GTH-4518R and GTH-4020R.
With a maximum lifting height of 13 m and a maximum forward reach of 9.08 m, the new Genie GTH-4013 is able to lift up to 4,000 kg. Like the other models in the Genie range, its low pivot boom provides excellent visibility.
With front independent stabilizers that are hydraulically actuated and a ground clearance of 43 cm, the GTH-4013 is ideal for working in rough or varied sites. The GTH-4013 features permanent four-wheel drive and three steering modes: front wheel steer, crab steer and coordinated steer. A tight turning radius of 1.14 m inside and 3.79 m outside allows excellent manoeuvrability.
The hydrostatic drive enables smooth and precise positioning and the hydraulically piloted proportional joystick provides multi-function operation. The two-speed mechanic gear box offers speed and performance and the towing capacity is 8,300 kg. The Cummins turbo-diesel engine (99 hp) is positioned sideways for easy access to components.
The rotating GTH-4020R can reach up to 19.64 m and lift up to 4,000 kg. The other new rotating model, the GTH-4518R, offers a maximum lifting height of 17.25 m and a maximum payload of 4,500 kg. Fast lifting, extension and retraction speeds ensure rapid work cycles. Positioning is smooth and precise thanks to hydraulic load-sensing regulation.
All movements are controlled by two electro-proportional four-in-one multi-function joysticks. The four-cylinder 102 hp Deutz turbo diesel engine is fitted on the 360° rotating turret providing easy access for maintenance. The engine is controlled by an electronic accelerator.
An electronic system constantly monitors stability and overloading. This system controls load limits of the boom, turret and stabilizers in real time. The attachment installed is detected enabling the system to optimize the hydraulic distributor response time and operation. The GTH-4020R and theGTH-4518R are equipped with a black box that records functional parameters and anomalies.
An optional GPS module makes it possible to identify the position of the machine at all times. A diagnostic system assists troubleshooting. A display on the machine informs the user when maintenance is required by calculating the hours of operation and/or degree of abnormal wear.
The cabs are certified ROPS/FOPS and are equipped with an adjustable pneumatic seat with arm rests. The large steering wheel ensures maximum manoeuvrability with minimal effort. Other standard features are the power-assisted steering, lockable fuel tank, road lights, windscreen wipers, external mirrors, demister and pre-arrangement to fit air conditioning.
The Genie telehandlers come with a wide range of options, accessories
and attachments for civil and industrial works.
The GTH series is backed up by the full range of Genie services: field service, parts, technical helpline, financial solutions and used equipment.
Headquartered in Redmond, Washington, USA, with branch offices worldwide, Genie Industries manufactures material lifts, aerial work platforms, trailer-mounted booms, scissor lifts and self-propelled telescopic and articulating booms as well as telehandlers.
