Delivering Diversity in Engineering, Construction and Transport

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Women's Transport Seminar (WTS) will host a one-day conference on 'Delivering Diversity in Engineering, Construction & Transport' on Friday 27 June at One Great George Street, London.
Confirmed speakers include Claire Curtis Thomas MP; David Morris, former Mayoral Adviser on Disability; Jean Venables, ICE Vice President; Valerie Todd. Tfl Director for Group Equality and Inclusion; Carolyn Yates, UKRC and Doug Oakervee, Executive Chairman, Crossrail.
The event will explore the challenges and solutions of delivering diversity within the construction, engineering and transport industries. WTS and ICE intend to use the output of the conference to develop practical strategies to deliver diversity that can be applied by professional institutions, the industry and government.
Industry leaders in gender, ethnicity and disability inclusion will hold workshops and discuss best practice, providing an opportunity for attendees to develop their own solutions to assuring inclusion as well as addressing the current national shortage in skills.
