Hanson UK has added a new range of bricks to its collection. The Highland range has been designed to meet the aesthetic and technical requirements of specifiers and house builders.

Although specifically developed to complement the local tones and textures of Scottish building exteriors, the bricks are available throughout the UK.

The Highland range is resistant to frost and offers outstanding durability. It also has excellent sustainability credentials using up to 66 per cent recycled raw material content. In addition the bricks are manufactured at Hanson’s Claughton works near Lancaster, minimising haulage costs to the primary Scottish market.

Both standard facing bricks and matching specials are available in the range of 21 distinctive brick types, which also offers a wide colour and texture palette.

Tom Hunter, regional sales manager, said: “The Highland brick range has had an excellent reception from house builders, builders’ merchants and specifiers alike and is an important addition to our portfolio.”
