ISG Jackson appointed to seven social housing frameworks
(29/06/2009)
ISG JacksonISG Jackson has increased its portfolio of partnering framework clients following its inclusion in Network Housing Group’s contractors’ framework agreement, an influential £120 million programme to build 500 new homes a year over the next four years. ISG Jackson has now been appointed to seven social housing frameworks, including many of the UK's leading housing associations, resulting in some £19 million worth of schemes currently on site.
Network Housing Group owns and manages 17,500 homes, mostly in London and the Eastern Region, with 2,000 new flats and houses due to be added to this total over the course of the four year framework deal. ISG Jackson has also recently been appointed to Sanctuary Housing’s four year partnering framework programme, following the completion of two highly successful schemes with the housing association in Barnet and Exning, valued at over £9.5 million.
The strength and depth of ISG Jackson’s experience within the social housing sector was acknowledged with the launch, in 2006, of a dedicated ‘Living division’ within the business to concentrate specifically on residential opportunities. This focused sector strategy has proved highly effective at generating a wealth of opportunities with many of the UK’s leading housing associations, resulting in framework deals with clients including Hanover Housing Association, bpha, (Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association), Nottingham Community Housing Association, Housing 21 and Swan Housing Group.
Michael Manning, director of ISG Jackson's Living division, commented: "Partnering frameworks represent a highly desirable procurement route by providing visibility on opportunities up to four years into the future. Supplementing these framework deals, the business can also demonstrate an excellent track record in negotiated and traditionally tendered contract wins with clients including Orbit, Flagship Housing, Hastoe Housing and the Skinners’ Company.
“Our divisional team structure lends itself ideally to the development of best practice solutions and knowledge sharing and as an educated contractor we offer our clients an unrivalled combination of innovation and excellent industry credentials.”
