The Kubota M40 Series tractors range has been awarded a Silver medal in the 2009 Royal Agricultural Society Of England (RASE) Machinery Awards. The award was presented at the Royal Show 2009.

The RASE Machinery Awards are unique because they are based on rigorous examination of the machines by commercial users, with the Silver medal being awarded to those incorporating important new features that are found by them to be effective and reliable.

M40 users across the country were visited by RASE appointed judges, who reported that they repeatedly commented on the simplicity of the Kubota machines, with their easy to use controls, a comfortable cab and operator environment with excellent visibility, a top speed of 40kph, as well as their construction, durability, reliability, manoeuvrability and highly competitive price.

Originally introduced in 2008, Kubota's M40 Series agricultural tractors range consists of four models spanning 63-95hp (63, 71, 85 and 95hp). These highly versatile machines feature Kubota's well-proven Tier III compliant, 4 cylinder E-CDIS (Centre Direct Injection System) engines. The two larger models, the M8540 and M9540, are turbo-charged.

The high performance, low emission engine provides exceptional power and efficiency, whilst minimising noise and vibration levels, combined with unrivalled fuel economy. The excellent fuel economy is maximised by using a 110 litre capacity fuel tank, enabling the tractors to carry out many hours of work without refuelling.

With fully synchronised transmission, an independent PTO, wet disc brakes and 4 wheel braking, Kubota M40 Series tractors deliver high productivity with low running costs, making them the ideal machines for an extensive range of arable, livestock and mixed agricultural applications for farmers and contractors, as well as for other amenity and groundcare uses.

Dave Roberts, Sales & Marketing Manager, Kubota (UK) Ltd – Tractor & Groundcare Division, said: "We are obviously proud and delighted to receive this award, which is testament to the innovation and engineering excellence in our agricultural tractors range, where higher horsepower machines are now firmly part of our on-going strategy."
