Leadbitter expands to meet the bespoke needs of the budget hotel sector
(15/10/2009)
The budget hotel sector is set to expand in the next few years – both Premier Inn and Travelodge have announced extensive plans for this market sector. 70,000 more rooms in the next five years are widely expected and land purchases have been buoyant as a result of the depressed housing and office building sectors.
Leadbitter have announced their intention of increasing their presence in the budget hotel sector.
Bob Rendell, Leadbitter Group Chief Executive, said: "This is a natural next step for us when you consider our current success in the student accommodation sector with over 3,500 bed spaces successfully delivered on time and within budget over the last 3 years. We have a robust supply chain, experienced consultants and extensive land contacts that are already in place."
"Our longstanding relationships with a number of modular suppliers including RB Farquhar, the specialist pre-fabricated bathroom pod supplier, will be a significant factor in Leadbitter meeting the bespoke needs of the budget hotel sector. Consequently we are in the process of further expanding this important part of our approved supply chain through the inclusion of additional modular suppliers such as Walker Modular and Off Site Solutions."
