Dyer and Butler registers 40,000th site under the Considerate Constructors Scheme

The Considerate Constructors scheme which started in 1997 is an initiative created to improve the construction industry’s image and allows companies and individual sites to volunteer themselves as considerate in a number of areas. Dyer & Butler has registered the 40,000th site under the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
The Site and Company Codes of Considerate Practice commit those contractors and construction companies in the Scheme to be considerate and good neighbours, as well as clean, respectful, safe, environmentally conscious, responsible and accountable.
Along with registering the very first site under the scheme in 1997, Dyer & Butler is celebrating having reached an major milestone of 40,000 sites.
Dyer & Butler Contracts Manager, Tom Jones was presented with a plaque at the 40,000th site of Shepherd House East Bridge in Wokingham by the Scheme Director, John Ogle-Skan, Considerate Constructors Scheme Monitor for the site, Michael Allen, and Marketing Manager, Hilary Kendrick.
Neil Edwards, commercial director at Dyer & Butler said: “We are very proud to be part of the Considerate Constructors Scheme and are delighted that one of our projects is the 40,000 to register. We are pleased to support the initiative that continues to change and improve the image of our industry. ”
The scheme is a non-profit organisation which is solely funded by its registrations.
