Michael Gerard appointed to the RIBA Panel of Adjudicators
(02/03/2010)
Established in 1834, RIBA is the UK body for the architecture industry and provides training, guidance and technical services for in excess of 40,000 members. The Adjudication Panel is made up of around 90 adjudicators who are experts in their field, including architects, surveyors, engineers, construction consultants and construction lawyers. Many building and architectural contracts include clauses which specify that disputes should be referred to adjudication. In these cases, the RIBA is often the adjudicator nominating body and will put forward a relevant expert from the panel to act as an independent arbitrator.
Michael Gerard &Co, the construction consultancy, has announced its appointment to a national panel by the Royal Institution of British Architects (RIBA). Michael Gerard, Managing Director of Michael Gerard & Co has been selected for inclusion in the RIBA Panel of Adjudicators following a recent review designed to maintain the highest standards of adjudication for the architecture and construction industry.
