Leadbitter to build student accommodation at Bournemouth University

The Leadbitter Group, which is currently constructing the University’s new Kimmeridge Lecture Theatre, has been awarded the contract to design and build accommodation for 210 students at Madeira Road, Bournemouth. The Company has been awarded the contract to design and build further student accommodation at Bournemouth University, following the Company’s success in constructing several other buildings as part of the University’s ongoing expansion.

The new accommodation is just a stone’s throw from Holdenhurst Road, where Leadbitter successfully completed 400 units of student accommodation at Lyme Regis House, on behalf of Signpost Homes, part of Spectrum Housing.

With this, and the many other projects we have delivered in the Southern region, we have established ourselves as an ideal partner in the education sector.

This latest award confirms Leadbitter’s position as a major construction industry player within the Bournemouth and Poole area, having recently completed the Borough Council’s Kinson Hub project on time and within budget. The Company also successfully delivered the extension to Kingsleigh School in Kinson for the same Client in 2008.

Leadbitter’s ongoing commitment to the education sector, particularly in the Bournemouth and Poole area, is confirmed by the opening of an office at Lansdown Place, Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, which will supplement the existing regional office based at Hedge End, Southampton.
