Young Plant & Equipment Sales Ltd of Doune, Stirling, have been featuring examples from the Kubota mini excavators range on their stand at ScotPlant 2008.

Young Plant is the longest serving Kubota Construction Equipment dealer in the UK and achieved the largest unit sales for their minis in 2007, the fifth time that they have reached this milestone.

The company is still family-owned and celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Managing Director, Brian Young, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating record-breaking sales, at the same time as our 30th anniversary, and would very much like to thank all our customers and staff for making this possible, as well as everyone at Kubota for their continuing tremendous support”.

Kubota UK’s Construction Equipment Division has also achieved a major milestone with sales of their market leading mini excavators in Britain now having topped 30,000; becoming the first manufacturer to do so.

Visitors to the Young Plant stand had the opportunity to see the 30,000th Kubota machine – a KX61-3 2.5 tonne model. Other Kubota machines featured at ScotPlant included the latest KX080-3 8 tonne model.

All Kubota minis, from 1.5 tonne upwards, feature their unique ‘ANTI-THEFT’ system. This complete, easy-to-use security device was the first and is still the only one of its kind fitted as standard equipment by a mini excavator manufacturer.
