WRAP fund to help recycle construction, demolition and excavation waste

WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) is inviting applications to a new fund which supports the Government’s target of halving construction waste to landfill by 2012. WRAP’s capital competition aims to stimulate investment in additional capacity to recycle construction, demolition and excavation waste from construction sites into re-useable materials for reprocessors. IKM Consulting has been appointed to perform site investigations for the building of a new primary school in Inverness. The £7M Milton of Leys school project has been given the green light by Highland Council’s education, culture and sport committee, with construction expected to be completed by August 2011.
