ECITB encourages industry to put skills shortage at the top of the agenda

As demand for skilled labour in Scotland grows and the deficit of trained professionals diminishes, it has become apparent that industry must urgently address this issue to maintain its position as a centre of engineering construction expertise. Volvo excavators for Embassy Demolition fleet

Established back in 1971 and long standing member of the NFDC (National Federation of Demolition Contractors) since inception, Embassy Demolition Ltd, specialising in demolition and recycling solutions for projects covering Greater London and the Home Counties has taken delivery of a range of Volvo excavators for its fleet. Kubota complaints about JCB Sales adverts upheld by the Advertising Standards Authority

Complaints brought by Kubota (UK) Ltd about two advertisements for mini excavators placed by JCB Sales Ltd have been upheld by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). Kubota disputed a headline in one JCB advertisement, published in 2007, which read 'The UK's best selling minis'. After assessing all of the available information, including the market research JCB said backed up their claim, the ASA determined that the advertisement breached codes pertaining to substantiation, truthfulness and comparisons. Caterpillar Inc. has selected CleanAIR Systems, Inc. of Santa Fe, New Mexico, as the Caterpillar strategic alliance partner for emission retrofit products. These products are installed into existing applications in order to reduce hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and diesel particulates.
